VerenA – Packaging Recovery for Agriculture

What is the VerenA SYSTEM?

Packaging Recovery for Agriculture – or VerenA – is a take-back system for taking back and recycling of packaging materials from the agricultural sector that have been in contact with non-hazardous filling materials. The VerenA-SYSTEM is an initiative jointly run by the participating associations from the agricultural sector and RIGK as brand owner and system operator. Through the VerenA-SYSTEM, consumers / waste producers from the agricultural sector can conveniently drop off their empty packaging bearing the VerenA trademark free of charge at up to 400 planned VerenA collection points on specific dates. Likewise, VerenA enables the return and recycling of the transport and secondary packaging that arises in connection with Big Bags and plastic and paper sacks.

Who stands behind the VerenA-SYSTEM

The VerenA-SYSTEM is operated by the German agricultural industry in cooperation with four professional associations and RIGK GmbH. The participating professional associations are:

Bundesverband der VO-Firmen e.V. (BVO)

DER AGRARHANDEL – Bundesverband Agrarhandel und Verein der Getreidehändler der Hamburger Börse e.V. (DER AGRARHANDEL)
